18% of our income is committed giving (2009 accounts). This is helpful in budgeting – it’s funding we can depend on!
PAYE tax payers please note: any gift(s) in excess of €250 in a year allows us to get Tax Relief from the Revenue. We will forward a CHY2 form to you or you can download from Revenue website. [pages 6 and 7] Send the completed form to us. We make one combined submission to the Revenue each year.
Self-assessed tax payers can reclaim their own tax. We will send you a letter each year confirming your eligible donations in the previous year.
How is the money used?
Matilda Project has no employees or offices in Ireland. We send all our grants directly to partners in Zimbabwe. 0.6% of total expenditure in 2010, €80,368, was used in Ireland for bank charges, audit fee, post etc.
Audited annual accounts are available on request. These are submitted to ACET Ireland, our parent charity, when complete.
